First Milk and Nestlé UK & Ireland sign new contract

First Milk has confirmed a new long-term contract to supply milk for Nestlé UK & Ireland for its products.

UK milk supplier First Milk has confirmed the completion of a new long-term contract with Nestlé UK & Ireland.

First Milk has supplied British milk to Nestlé UK&I since 2003, which focuses on a long-term sustainable supply chain for Nestlé’s confectionery and beverage businesses.

First Milk CEO Mike Gallacher said Nestlé is a “hugely important customer.”

“Nestlé have consistently supported British Dairy farmers and are at the forefront of driving best practice on responsible sourcing and sustainability. Initiatives like our shared Next Generation Young Farmer Program demonstrate a long term and strategic commitment to the UK supply chain,” Gallacher said.

Robin Sundaram, responsible sourcing lead - milk buyer, Nestlé UK & Ireland said good quality milk is a key ingredient in some of the company’s iconic brands such as Nescafe and KitKat. 

“We look forward to continuing our strategic long-term partnership to drive our vision of supporting our farmers and our environment,” Sundaram said.
